.::Farewell, DotA::..

Defence of the Ancient, or is known is DOTA is a very popular warcraft 3 map. I think everyone knows about Dota right? Eventhough u don’t play it but I’m sure u heard of it in your school, right? Often, u can hear your classmates (including me) shouting “tonight wan dota?” or “wahaha noob feeder” or even “yeah yesterday i get beyond godlike!”. So, what is it about?

Dota is a custom game of Warcraft 3 client. It’s somthing lik Red Alert or Starcraft where u control some units and attack your enemy. In Dota,player only control an unit or so-called Hero. There are basically 3 types of hero, which is Int, Str and Agi. Just like other games, Int heroes rely on Magic to kill and they are very fragile. Agi heroes are the “killer” in Dota, which normally can kill enemy fast(and die fast too). Str heroes are usually tanker(have very high survivality).

Often in school, we heard friends saying “ahaha i first blood u” or “GODLIKE!”. For your information, First Blood is the first kill in the game. So, it’s kinda embarassing if u were “first blood” by enemy. Godlike means a hero kills 9 enemy’s heroes without being killed by enemy. Another common “term” in Dota is Double Kill and Triple kill. They occur when a you kill two, three or more hero at ONCE(within a few seconds). I hope after reading this, pals that doesn’t play dota will understand a little about the very popular game among teen, Defence of the Ancients, DOTA. At least, when your friends talking about it u can join the conversation and won’t be like “katak di bawah tempurung”.

Oh by the way, why do I say farewell to Dota?

I deleted the Warcraft 3 client which is necessary for me to play Dota. Why?Because I realised that Dota is a time thief! One match of Dota will takes u 45minutes to 1 hour and normally, one match will not satisfy you. As a result, u will be wasting 3-4 hours in your life jus to play some stupid game. I wonder, does it really worth? What do I earn from Dota? After thinking for few days, I get my answer. What i obtain from it is my “excellent” exam result, yawn in class as a result of sleeping too late, and cannot pass up my homework in time. I can’t imagine what will happen in future if I carry on with this game. It’s really hard to press the “Delete” button on the keyboard. I struggled with the evil side of my mind for a moment and finally, the bright side won! Farewell, DotA! See you after my SPM examination!~*tears rolling down*:(
